3 out of 4 Stars

My fall break has been full of spontaneity and excitement! ....well.....maybe not so much.

Since Sunday afternoon.... I have officially watched 6 full movies. =) Therefore, I thought I would post the movies and rate them so.... 1-4 stars.

#1- 17 Again: This cute little Zack Efron movie did hold my attention. I also love Matthew Perry... it was pretty entertaining, but the scene where he kisses the mom weirded me out a little bit. I give it **... and a half. (I have no idea how to do those fancy stars and color them in...)

#2- Gran Torino- SUCH a good movie! Despite the offensive language and brutal scenes, it had a wonderful message. It was very moving and also interesting to watch Clint Eastwood act so well... and be so old. =) I give it ***... and a half.

#3- Monsters vs. Aliens- Yes, I watched this with the nephews, but it was very good. I always wonder how these new cartoons will be, because there's nothing like the oldies... but, I laughed often. And, I also knew what was going to happen in every major scene because of Fletcher's impeccable memory, therefore him telling me everything before it happened.
I give it **...and a half.

#4- New In Town- This movie was just so so... although I do love Harry Connick Jr. But, I thought it was extra comedic because they live up every Minnesotan stereotype to the extreme and I thought it was hilarious! (Especially since I was able to visit my dear friends in Minnesota, and some of it seemed very accurate!) Just the accents alone were hilarious. I give it **.

#5 Vantage Point- I've heard a lot about this movie and I was prepared for the many rewinds from different points of view.... but I did thoroughly enjoy it. It held my attention and I was definitely trying to be a step ahead of it to figure out the real truth. I give it ***.

#6 Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs- ha. Ok, this was a rainy day out with the nephews and sister... she was tired of being at home so I ventured with them to watch this oh so interesting "food falling out of the sky" type of movie. It was a cute cartoon movie... by the end when massive meatball and spaghetti tornadoes were happening, I couldn't help but just laugh.
I give it **.

And that my friends is my exciting fall break. Aren't you jealous?
