I have done so well in refraining from any political talk, but it is just getting too close to the actual election to not talk about it at all!
So, I am not going to dive in full force, but I must say that I was inspired last night by Sarah Palin's speech. Here are some totally random thoughts that went through my head...
1. How precious is her baby with down syndrome?! I mean, that is no reason to vote for someone, but it felt so normal watching her family.
2. Who were the crazies with the alligators on their heads?! Do they represent some group or something? Just curious...
3. I was watching it by myself and got all teary-eyed and wanted to stand up and shout all at the same time!
4. I love that her nickname is "Sarah Barracuda"!!
I have made it a personal effort to REALLY understand each candidate's position, because I want to know why I am choosing to vote for a particular candidate, not just because that's how my mom and dad raised me to vote. I have enjoyed learning about John McCain, and I am truly impressed with his past and how he has faced and handled particular trials.
I have one desire heavy on my heart for Washington. I just want someone with integrity. I honestly do not know either candidate well enough to know if they carry that much integrity or not, but I do not want deceitful, crooked behavior because no matter who he/she is or the color of his/her skin... the true integrity of any person will be revealed in time. God bless us.

Trig is the sweetest little thing, but let's be honest. How much benedryl did they pump in that kid? No baby, even angel ones like Harper, could sleep thru a RNC speech. I wasn't fooled.
