He was attacked!

So I have this awesome kid in my class who is "special" but he's hilarious and always has some sort of new story to tell me. I admit I somewhat ag him on, but he's just too funny. Also, keep in mind, I teach 8th graders, like 13 year olds. This is what our conversation was today (well, close enough...)

(I'll just call him student for privacy sake :o) )

Student: Miss Fletcher I was attacked this weekend. (showing me his bandaged wrist)
Me: Wow! Really?! What attacked you?
Student: I don't know.
Me: You don't know?
Student: Yea, I had to fight it off.
Me: Well was it furry like an animal or something?
Student: No, it wasn't furry.
Me: Was it a person?
Student: No, not a person.
Me: How did you get it off of you?
Student: Well, I ended up taking a pole and just hitting it!
Me: Really?! Wow, that sounds awesome...
Student: And then I ran up a tree to get away from it.
Me: So what's underneath your bandage? Like are you scraped and stuff?
Student: Well, yea, there's like a hole in my hand.

He is HILARIOUS... I don't think he knows what he says half the time, but he's in my last class of the day and by then, I'm so tired, I think anything could make me laugh! I pretty much teach in front of his desk the whole time and tap on his desk to keep him from going into lala land, but, at least he's sweet and tries most of the time. I do have some great kids. :o)
