Proverbs 22 and 23

I'm going to do two at a time to catch up from this weekend.

Proverbs 22, VERSE 15: A youngster's heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far away.

Do you think this means "spanking" your children? Is this where we have gotten the support for corporal punishment? I guess it does not have to necessarily only refer to spanking, but maybe some type of physical connection between good and bad. A smack on the hand even with the little ones?

Proverbs 23, VERSE 13 and 14: Don't fail to discipline your children. They won't die if you spank them. Physical discipline may well save them from death.

Hhhhhmmmm... interesting.
