So me taking a break from school also led to my long blogging break. =) It was absolutely fabulous letting my brain rest.
I could give you the play by play.... but I won't. And I could try some clever way to share all the happenings... but I'm not feeling creative right now so you'll have to settle for boring text.
I suppose I will hit some highlights.
...my grandparents stayed with me during Christmas and it was WONDERFUL! I LOVED having them here and I always cherish the times where we stay up and late and I get to listen to Gran and Papaw tell me old stories about my mom or other family members. And to listen to them joke at each other as to why they got married and fell in love... because Papaw could dance good, of course! ;) I'm pretty sure he's where I get my dancin' skills from.
...it snowed almost 5 inches Christmas day!! It was GORGEOUS and thank heavens my grandparents were here to transfer me everywhere because my wimpy SUV was not making it off my hills.
...Harper's 3rd b'day party was the 23rd and we had breakfast with Santa. It could have possibly been one of the best birthday parties ever. My uncle dressed up as Santa and he was PERFECT for the job... so impressive! Harper was not one for the crowd, but it seemed everyone else enjoyed it!
... Sickness went from one family member to the next, for about 5 days in a row, starting with me. It lasted about 12 hours and then was over. But it was no fun. =(
...Multiple Christmas meals and parties full of family and games. We all loved watching the little kiddos dance and twirl around.
....NYC FOR NEWS YEARS BABY! wahoo! NO, we did NOT do Times Square... I've done it once and it was glorious, so I hate to ever attempt it again. But staying with Whit and Nathan was AWESOME and hanging with Mica and Joe made it so fun! My cousin Whitney is Angelina Ballerina and she is truly amazing... I realize family is biased, but honestly, I just beemed the whole time I was watching and I'm absolutely amazed at her talent and how motivated she is to fulfill her dream.
I kind of get tired thinking about it all again, but it was a great time to relax and enjoy family. The white Christmas made it extra special, too. Once I rummage through some pics and videos I'll post them. Happy New Year!
