Thanksgiving

I was really wanting a profound Thanksgiving post last week and couldn't muster one up. But, I am a thankful person. I promise. =)

First let me say that Thanksgiving was actually quite wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed the few days off. Our crowd was smaller this year, but it was a lot of fun!! Just ate, hung out and talked at my aunt and uncle's house which is so cozy and decorated nicely for the holidays that I prefer being there now than almost anywhere!

I ventured to Nashville with my sister and family to give her some company for a few days. And of course... be with little G... and enjoy Nashville shopping. I looooove Green Hills Mall and we were rather successful even amidst the pink eye drainage poor G had... and the discovery that my iPhone is somewhat damaged. Culprit of the damage? My nephews' slobber. yup. I often give it as a chew toy to appease the tears in the backseat and my plan backfired but I will make it work until I get an upgrade in April. Darn that soft side of mine.

Today I discovered what I am most thankful for this year.

A job.

Of course I am grateful for soooo many other, somewhat obvious, things but I am extra thankful this year for my job. To be reminded everyday on the news how badly so many Americans are suffering without jobs makes me wonder how little 'ole Abby here with a regular college degree like soooo many other people actually has a job and a warm home to come to? I feel blessed and don't deserve anything that I have. thank ya Jesus!!! (set in my most gospel like voice)
