little bit of this... a little bit of that

I want to make you aware of a few things, and also ask for your help.

First of all, please look to the left-hand side and notice some new bloggers I have added to my reel. Other volunteers here with me in Cambodia have blogs so I encourage you to check them out as you will see so many different perspectives on our experiences here in Asia.

Also, I have updated my Shelfari so you can know what books I am currently reading. I LOVE to hear about other good books so please suggest anything you think I might like. I usually delve into at least 2 books at a time.

I am still working on getting my Flickr account up to date so you can check out photos periodically but honestly, I am having difficulty getting my pictures organized and am at a standstill. But I haven't forgotten about it!

And lastly, I wanted to make you aware of some of the needs we have for the Children's Home in Siem Reap. If you received my first update email, you know these needs. (and if you didn't, please email me at snazzyabby@hotmail.com if you would like to be added to the list)

I'm thrilled to say we received a donation for $330 to go towards these projects! yay God! BUT... we still need more donations to successfully buy these items. They are...

1- Flat Screen TV: $300 (for the student's schooling to show videos, power points, lessons etc.)

2- 4 desk top Computers: $500 each

3- AirCon Unit, new paint, and shelving for a room at the Children's Home: $400

And I would like to add to this list... if you have a used iPad you are planning to sell, considering giving it to us to use for educational purposes with the children.

Please prayerfully consider giving to these needs. All of these items assist in either education for the children or assistance in helping them make their jewelry they are beginning to sell which goes into their "future/college" fund. Email me if you would like to give and I can provide instructions.
