Last weekend I ventured to North Carolina with sister Rachel (and baby Jones) to see our new little Gabriel! Sarah is doing well and so is little Gabriel. It was fun to just be with family and hold, yet again, a new baby.
Let me venture to a more sentimental thought... there was just a few short moments where it was just me and Gabriel. Jones was sleep... Sarah and Alex were taking a much needed short nap... and mom and Rachel were at the store. At the beginning of all my little nephews' and niece's lives, I've tried to pray a little blessing over them and all that their future holds. Such little creatures... who hold so much potential and in a sense, such power. Seeing new families form is encouraging in what I feel is a particularly tough time for folks these days. Glad I get to see the Colonna family again this week.
I came home to a busy and exhausting week. And I almost refuse to get into my car woes this past week. Ran out of gas in mom's mini because the gauge is broken... probably still my fault though... my sister and bro-in-law came to the rescue and my heavens drove me all over this town! It did become somewhat comical, after just a few tears on my part.
And lastly, I've been waiting, literally, for almost a year for a new phone and the day came!!! I was up for an upgrade and got an iPhone for a regular price-whew! Needless to say, it's fabulous and my long nights at basketball games might not seem so long from here on out because I'll be playing fun games or surfing the net.
2 days of school until lots of turkey and putting up the Christmas Tree! 'Tis the Season!
