Throughout the day I try to hold onto interesting/or maybe not so interesting happenings that I think people would want to know.
First of all, I have yet to take a hot shower. Somewhat by choice and somewhat by the fact that we don't have a hot water heater. ha. Honestly, I look forward to my long, cold shower. It's as if I see the steam coming off of my body!
Cambodia also adds a slowness to your life. A good slowness. Eating usually takes longer and I can't say that I mind it. Waiters and waitresses don't annoy you while you eat and they don't bring your check until you ask. Not only is eating slow, but just everything slows down. You might say we'll start something at 7:30 and everybody rolls in at 8:15. eh, it has its ups and downs.
And on a funny note, we were having a meeting at CG a few days ago and we heard this loud banging. I asked Julie what it was and she said, 'Oh, that's the cook chopping the meat. I bought them a grinder and they don't like it.' How great! So basically, if you come and order spaghetti, you will get to hear the extreme "chopping" of the meat all on your own. =)
This was my lunch today and it was glorious. =) Crispy apple chicken salad... yuummm.
