in yo face!

ha. Sometimes I want to say that to my kids at school. Probably not the most appropriate response when I, yet again, tell them they never turned in their assignment and that it's really just lost in a sea of abyss called their backpack.

anyways... it's also probably what the Lord wanted to say to me this past week! Just when I go and make a big fuss on here, I totally get slapped in the face. Last week really felt like a big move towards Cambodia. I was rather discouraged as far as fundraising goes and things somewhat took off! yay!

First of all, my 1000 brochures came in and now I actually have something tangible to show people. It really helps!

I was able to talk to my faculty, very briefly... and rather nervously, about my new venture and they all received my brochure as well. They are all so supportive. My kids at school are starting to find out about me leaving and that's kind of weird.

I had a few people commit to me monthly which has added up to a few thousand dollars and that has literally moved me to tears! Wow! What a feeling to be at the expense of others, literally... and know they believe in me! It's a mix of emotions.

I also had a fellow colleague approach me about sharing at their church which would be an awesome opportunity.

Then, Friday evening I got a phone call that someone they knew wanted to anonymously give me $1500!!!! awesome!!!! I was blown away and so thankful! To whoever it is!!!

I've also had several people start asking about renting my house and I hope to get those logistics squared away asap.

ha. I told ya! The Lord totally took control and just showed me who was boss this week. It's so awesome. I look forward to going to Orlando next week for fall break. I'll get to spend time with my sister and kids and also my very best friends, the Hoods-and hopefully share a little at their church as well. He remains faithful.
