Box 'o Fun

I have the best friends in the world. I am sadly learning, the older I get, that the true and honest friends are terribly hard to find... and keep. Sometimes I wish I was a guy. Guys are so good at being normal and "getting over" things quickly, but girls are just totally different. To have a faithful and trustworthy girlfriend is worth more than anything to me.

A few weeks ago while I was in Texas, Katie and I got this box from Lisa. The girls had to wait on me getting back before they could open it, as directed. So, after Cameron and Katie picked me up from the 'ole shuttle station, we ended up eventually at Arhmin's ready to open this box. Welllll..... it was so great! The letter put us all in tears before we even opened anything. Lisa sent us this box of encouragement full of fun stuff! It's been a particularly trying time for a few us and she hates being so far away from us. :o( It had starbucks gift cards, bath gel with loofahs, praise and worship CDs, Seinfeld comedy, chocolate and a few other things. It was so thoughtful and personal. It totally made our night. She acted like it wasn't anything big, but it really was one of the best gifts ever!

I think it's funny how the Lord sometimes rips apart our own personal plans and puts into motion what he wants to happen. When we're little girls we dream of being married and having kids and the whole white picket fence scenario... because we see that as being best and what it seems like should be our "goal" in life. But honestly, I think I'm shocked as to why the Lord chose ME to give such great friends to?? I don't have that typical female dream listed above yet, but I wouldn't trade my girlfriends in for anything in the world right now. The Lord has rocked my world in showing me not everything should go as I plan. Thank you Lisa for this box! I LOVE YOU!
