"... all my delight is in you, Lord... all of my heart, and all of my strength... all my delight is in you Lord, forevermore..."
I am grateful that the Lord led me to Thirst (young adult ministry/college at NC) because it truly has been wonderful and eye opening. And I'm also grateful that Clark and Kristen lead it so well because they do a fabulous job. I have much respect for Clark and I leave each Thursday night being challenged. THAT is what a church should be and it's encouraging to see Clark strive for that... SOO... Thanks Clark!
It's an assuring place to be spiritually and emotionally when we finally realize ALL things and ALL strength and ALL hope and ALL peace is in the cross. After walking through Hobby Lobby last Saturday and looking at all the massive amounts of home decorations, I realized there was almost an entire aisle dedicated to crosses: metal ones, wooden ones, big ones, little ones, ugly ones, and simple ones. Sometimes we so romanticize the cross that we lose the true value. The cross represents a nasty, ugly picture where a hideous and gruesome murder took place. But yet, it's still so life-giving and comforting to know it was done to provide freedom for us. I can never seem to get enough of the cross. It is totally and unarguably all that we need.
