Sri Lanka Storyboard

(disclaimer: I apologize that the pictures and text don't flow as I intended. I've tried to fix it twice, but it will not work. I wanted to post the blog anyways though. )

A week and a half ago I left for Bangkok via taxi… then headed to Sri Lanka via airplane. In Thailand, I was able to have this rarity.

We then got to watch the Hunger Games in these fancy seats...

I also found this in the Siam Paragon mall...

...and it was worth every calorie!

We spent the first evening in Sri Lanka with these wonderful people!

.... at the beach at sunset on the Indian Ocean

We met these guys...

... who were the best youth group team ever!

The next day, I went shopping with Rupees...

....and rode in an awesome "trishaw".

On Easter Sunday we were able to feed the children before church...

... and we were welcomed with real, flower leis!

We also had dinner with the family at the church one evening... Did you know that Sri Lankans do not use silverware to eat, but rather just their hands? Like this...

We went to the orphanage, played games, sang song, and made crafts.

And also saw scary creatures like this...

I was able to channel my mother through my "umbrella shade". She always says you need one when traveling in the heat!

After camp, we stayed in a hotel in downtown Colombo near their "twin towers".

And we saw beautiful kites fly outside of our window.

I then had to say goodbye to this beautiful lady...

and spent my last day here.
