Abby Road: This and That

Today is Saturday morning here and the team left last Thursday (as in 9 days) evening. Chloe and I have stayed in two different guest houses since then, the latter now containing multiple roaches. It's actually a very nice place but we are on the first floor and the owner said they come in through the bottom of the door. As of this morning, we have had 12-LARGE-roaches in our room. yikes!

We have been doing a little bit of everything. We have had some fun and also participated in as many PCL activities as we could. We have taught the Children's Home kids English classes twice and we will teach one last time on Monday before we leave. We have visited the Tonle Sap boat and I even had the opportunity to share devotions last night with all of the kids.

Yesterday was a full day of leadership/potential training from Dr. Fred Toke who is from Singapore and on the PCL board. I thoroughly enjoyed him! He is a psychologist so of course a lot of what he shared can be applied to my teaching and the students I teach.

Today we will attend ISOLD (International School of Leadership Development) graduation which will be the 2nd time for me because I attended this as well 4 years ago.

I've also really enjoyed getting to know the Lee Interns that are here. There are 7 of them and they are very good-hearted, mature college kids! They are here a total of 10 weeks so they will head back sometime in July.

I have a few other random blogs to post, especially one about our adventure to the Landmine Museum. We leave late Monday evening so we only have about 2 1/2 days left here in Cambodia. I'm trying not to force my brain into switching gears just yet about going home... because it seems once I do that, I can't go back!! Lucky for me though, I don't have a whole lot to do when I get back and THAT, is wonderful. Enjoy some pictures.
