No complaints here

If you have been alive the past week.... and somewhat paid attention to the news.... you will know that we got hammered with snow! And when I say hammered... I mean for this area of course. You northerners probably enjoying laughing at us, but remember... it's all relative and 8 inches of snow is the most we have gotten since the Blizzard of '93!!! Therefore.... our little city is crippled!

This has led to 5 straight days off of school! We have built in snow days so we won't (or at least I don't think so) have to make any days up in the summer. But, if we have another big snow we could be in trouble.

I have no pictures to post because I figured you've all seen enough on facebook... through someone. It's just very white and icy out there.

Monday... at home all day. It was wonderful to get things done and watch Friends all day!! It was also fun to watch the guy across the street try to get his mid size SUV up his driveway for literally- 2 hours. Dude.... let it gooooooo.....

Tuesday.... getting a little restless. Luckily my fierce brother-in-law aka "man who is not afraid of any weather and does not want to be trapped at home" came and got me. My streets were still kind of yucky. (No plows get to my street.) Stayed with my sister where we spent most of the night sitting in comfy chairs in sweatpants on our phones playing games. I slept in the boys bunk beds that night. =)

Wednesday... stayed with R all day and then my fierce bro in law brought me home to help get my car out of my driveway-which is somewhat precarious in the snow because of the incline and drop off to the side of it. It is still, at this moment, frozen over. Stayed with K and M that night which was fun.

Thursday... out and about a little, headed to grocery store to cook for friends dinner which we had at my sister's because her streets were better. We had chili... celebrated a few birthdays... and played the Kinect!! The Kinect on the X Box is SOOOO fun! We made teams and competed, which little F loved. =) But.... luckily, W and I actually won. What can I say? ha. Stayed with K again last night... maybe they should have a room for me?

Today... visited L, who cooked us lunch, visited TJ Maxx, then came home!

I've watched lots of movies... made a lot of sweets... done absolutely nothing physical... and slept a lot. And to top it off, we get MLK off Monday so that is officially a 10 day vacation. Glorious.... it's been glorious... =)
