This isn't really an exact happening as much as it is an epiphane I had. And it's not really that great...
I have an "honors" class and it dawned on me how amazingly different this class is compared to the rest. It's my biggest class, with every desk full so it almost feels intimidating. Little heads and backs sitting up straight and not saying a word when the bell rings. I don't know what it is but I get through everything 10 times faster. They hear everything you say the first time you say it... they have no questions because they understand every part of the directions... and they're more than eager to do whatever you ask. It just cracks me up.
If I had 5 periods of "honors" classes, I could definitely teach all year round because it's way more fun, less stressful, and your lessons actually go exactly as you planned. Also, they actually get my jokes. =) Buuuuttt.... that would be a perfect world, and that's not why I teach.
Side note...I have multiple kids with the same name... like it's kind of ridiculous. Loads of Tylers, Austins, Dakotas, Justins, and Breannas. I might just do last names this year.
