Let the Fun Begin!

Since my last post, I have maybe crossed 2 things off that list. Pathetic!

This is my last and final blog of my "official" summer break. I have in-service tomorrow at 8 am therefore the fun and sun is over with.

I have nothing of value to write about... but I hate to lose any, if that, followers I might have. Here are a few things I have to look forward to: football season, TN 10 Vaca to Florida Labor Day weekend, my sister's baby shower, my housewarming party, my new nephew being born, and many other precious babies being born!

I must say though that I love living by myself! =) I'm actually quite shocked about it really. I don't get scared, I haven't been lonely, and it's very quiet. It has nothing to do with anybody I've lived with, because they were all great roommates but I have a slight issue with control so it's great to know this house is all under my control. I guess I should enjoy it while I can, because it may not be like that forever.... or maybe it will? Oh yea... and I've learned that I can live with the temp. being like 78 which most people would sweat to death but I love it! Saving money!

If any of you pray for us teachers beginning school, I would covet those prayers! This is my 5th year teaching, and also my tenure year in the Bradley Cty. System. I gotta make it to April! I also have a fairly heavy load of responsibilities including Cheerleading, Reading Dept. Chair, and SGA Sponsor. I hope I didn't take on more than I should have... but knowing me, I did. =) I also hope to really continue to gain a positive reputation to allow me to be used of the Lord consistently and more openly than usual. I'm looking forward to see what He does through me!

Much love to all you teachers out there!

I do not know why...

...I feel the need to list all of the things left to do in my house. I think this is my disclaimer to everyone that visits because I'm OCD about things being clean, finished, complete... you get the point. It will probably take me several weeks, if not months, to complete but I still want people to visit and enjoy my home.

DO:
-hang picture in bathroom
-move desk, table, filing cabinet, and rug to office
-sand chest
-glue chairs
-finish planting
-lower living room mirror
-put picture holder thingy above bench
-fix red lamp
-hang bedroom pictures
-fix my towel rack

BUY:
-new curtains for both kitchen windows
-kitchen calendar
-black cabinet knobs
-kitchen rug
-bathroom towel rack
-black and white rug
-shower rod
-2 bathroom light fixtures
-office paint
-office curtains
-guest curtain rod
-porch funiture
-new DVD holder
-pic above bed
-bedskirt
-decorative for bathroom

PAINT:
-fix yellow in kitchen
-fix white in bathroom
-office
-mirror frames
-clock
-chest
-desk
-front porch, back door etc.
-fix red bath

Ugh. So overwhelming. And expensive. I suppose I should enjoy it, instead of letting it stress me out. =)

I do believe it's my last one...

I could write for days about all the fun Dietz/DelBonis wedding festivites that took place for about a week... BUT-instead I will do a top 10 because I have to narrow it down somehow.

Top 10 Favorite things about Katie getting married:

1. Having TONS of people at my house all week long... SO FUN!

2. Watching Aunt Pam and Patty work like slaves in making 1000 buckeyes in about 8 hours. They were rock stars... never complained once!

3. Pastor Bonaparte's AWESOME voice at the ceremony. I could listen to him all day!

4. Letting Arhmin do my make-up, and then splitting my eyelashes with a safety pin. Yikes!

5. The cake Arhmin made...and then Lisa's dad eating some of it. HA!

6. 2 letters: DJ!!!!! Ricky rocked our worlds!! Who could forget the napkin game around the table!

7. Part 2 of the napkin game... Me, Lisa, and Shawn looking back to see our family/parents breaking it down at their table. HILARIOUS.

8. Meeting Michael and Katie's family. They are awesome people and I loved all the northern accents!

9. Lisa's pageant hair. Nuf said.

10. Seeing my friends and being by Katie's side on the happiest and most important day of her life!

So this was wedding #11, and I believe in my next wedding I will be wearing a white dress. =) I also must say... I think after this wedding that I could go into the wedding planning/coordinating business. Maybe a summer job to consider...??? Who knows?! Enjoy some pics...

4th of July!

Favorite kids in the whole world!

July 4th was fun and relaxing! Hung out at the pool and ate at mom's house. It's funny, because almost at all times a baby is sleeping now in one of the back rooms. We've got cribs and pack and plays galore! Then, we ventured with Marissa's fancy camera to take some shots of all the kids together. Winston was fabulous holding little sleepy Jones and Ella added much curiosity! I love these kiddos. Can't wait for Sarah to add hers to the bunch. =)

Later that evening I visited Rachel's where a "redneck" display of fireworks was being done. It was so funny! About 40 adults and kids were sitting outside watchin' the small bursts of noise and color in the street. Great way to end the day!
