Easter 09

The fam headed to the Holiday Inn Easter Sunday after church.... there were about 23 of us. We enjoyed some southern food and then had an Easter Egg hunt at my aunt's house. It was fun, beautiful, and relaxing!

Worn Out Cell Phone!

I didn't have much in the planner for the evening but it's amazing how fast it filled up. It was actually quite comical-I spent several hours on the phone with, it feels like, a 100 different people! Here was my evening...

5ish-Talked to LG for about 10 min. on my way home from Chatt.

5:30-Talked so my sister Rachel for almost 30 min. about who knows what because we can cover all bases from school, family, love, kids, problems etc. in 30 min. or less now.

(**Missed a call from TG while talking to Rach, which I hate because I miss her.**)

6 pm-Talked to Cameron.... also missed her call before.

(**And all this while, playing phone tag in between convos with a cheer mom who wants to talk about fundraiser stuff.**)

6:15ish-Talked to Lisa, decided to really talk after she eats dinner

6:50-Talked to mom for about 30 min. about life etc... Lisa calls back and I missed it.

7:25-Started to talk to my sister Sarah... cheer mom beeped in, needed to answer.

7:51-Called Sarah back... chatted a while.
**PW beeped in about yard sale stuff, couldn't answer.
**SS beeped in to figure out house search stuff for tomorrow, couldn't answer.

8ish-Called PW back, Deeters calls to tell me she's going to work out so I can meet her.
**Called Sarah back, changed clothes and made it to the gym all the while talking to her.

8:30-Finally get to gym, call SS back while working out.... and check about 3 voicemails. =)

9:30-Home from working out, finally call Lisa back.

WHEWWWW!!! Glad I had a night "off" just to catch up with friends and family.

House Hunt vs. Man Hunt

As I have begun my new adventure in looking for houses, I have come to realize how similar it is to also looking for a man. =) Although I rarely ever discuss my "relationship" issues on my blog, I think this is fairly broad and you may also agree that these comparisons are true. Here is my list:

House Hunt = Man Hunt

1. They can look so nice on the outside, and then you see they are in awful shape in the inside.

2. Overpriced, and you know you can find a better deal.

3. In a bad neighborhood... aka.... in the "wrong crowd."

4. Not enough personality or originality.... looks like every other one.

5. It might need too much work, and it's not worth the time or money.

6. No garage..... oh wait... Not for sure how to relate that one to a man?

So there is my list. Let the house (and man) hunt continue. :o)

27 dresses

I've been waiting for this blog! teeheehee...

I thought it would be entertaining to pull out a picture from each of the weddings I've been a bridesmaid in. As of recent, I just "finished" number 9, and number 10 will be this July. So, I'm not quite at the magic number 27, but it sure does feel like it! Although, I think after this July my bridesmaid duties might come to an end but what better way to end your "wedding" fun than by wearing the white dress last?! ha.

I have 7 pictures from 7 different weddings-missing 2. My sister, Rachel's, was 11 years ago and honestly, I do not have any digital memories of that wedding (Wow! Hello 90s!) and I had braces so we're glad that's not captured on here. ANNND... I don't have any digitally either from Lindsay and Craig's (boo!) because that was a long time ago too. And I was fat.... so it's probably a good thing we don't have to look at those pictures. Enjoy.

I love all of you, and thank you for letting me be apart of your BIG DAY! :o

I have decided...

...there should be a TV show about my school. Honestly, it's like playing Russian roulette every morning I get up, because you don't know what you're going to get. Some days it's massive relief while other days you feel like you want to blow your brains out.

Today, our principal gets on the intercom about an hour into school and you can tell he's fired up. Apparently there was quite a large buzz about some massive fighting that was going to take place between the "skaters" and some other "group" and he was NOT going to put up with it. Therefore... that led to our students being held inside their classrooms, not attending any related arts (which translates into us regular ed teachers not receiving ANY break from our kids) being walked to the bathroom in silence and only 3 in the bathroom at a time, and being dominated with severe supervision in the lunchroom the entire time. At the end of the day, each class was then escorted to busses and cars. Each kid was searched and every locker as well.

It felt like prison. For everyone. It was exhausting and kids were frustrated. So we had a little chat about how much freedom we really do have normally and how ridiculous it is when kids act like this which ruins it for everyone.

Hopefully he proved his point, because I sure as heck hope to not go through that again. I was flipping out on my kids!

So I had these great intentions of writing a fun blog and reliving my spring break through pictures etc., but my computer is slllloooooowwww right now and our internet is strugglin'!

Not to mention, I'm so tired right now my fingers are barely moving.
